I can't find that exact option in my camera but perhaps the other options achieve the same thing, for example the AF Set AF to servo. This does what you need. Press the AF-ON button to start focussing with servo AF, when the subject is in focus release the AF-ON button and focus will stop, the lens stays where it was last focused. Now press the shutter as needed and the focus will not change until you press the AF-ON button again. Smooth Zone, good general purpose. Live 1-point, good if you have smaller subjects or you wanna be more particular about where the camera is focusing. The Touch Shutter, you can use the back of the camera to touch to focus or touch to take a photo. And if you want touch to activate the shutter, you can enable it here.
In the menu, go to the wrench with 2 dots. Select Live View/Movie func set. In the next menu select LV func setting. In that menu, select Stills only. At the next screen, select Exposure simulation. Now get out of all menus. In live view mode, push the INFO. button until the histogram is displayed in the upper right corner of the display. Steve

I suggest looking in the Advanced User Guide, P83 for a full explanation of how use the INFO button to get Live View. If you want to get the most from your camera, it is highly advisable to actually go through the AUG, it will give you access to many features you may not even realize you have. If you don't have it, here is the link:
Press the shutter button fully. The camera takes the picture. To focus the camera while using FlexiZoneAF-Single focusing: Press the Start/Stop button to enable Live View shooting. An AF point appears in the center of the image. (Optional) Use the multi-controller button to move the AF point.
Accessing the histogram view. When you're reviewing an image on your EOS camera, repeatedly press the Info button to scroll through the different viewing options until you see a histogram. The first histogram view you'll see is the luminance histogram; to view the RGB colour histograms in addition, press the Info button again.
For Live View shooting, you cannot select or . External Speedlites cannot be used. (It will not fire.) If you use Live View shooting with a lens supporting the < > mode, the Image Stabilizer effect of the lens will be reflected to the captured images. However, you cannot see the effect in the Live View image during shooting.
